From Deep Within

You speak of me as though I am the one who deceives you.

As though I am the one who draws you to lust.

Those feelings have always been within you.

Those feelings are from deep within you.

You choose to engage; you choose to succumb.

All I do is nudge you along.

I encourage you to be,

Human.

I, me - I accept you.

I let you fall, as I was once fallen.

I let you grow, and I rose from the dirt and found my new calling.

And where,

Where is he who calls himself your father.

Where is the one who gave you the senses that you use to transgress.

Where, I ask you?

Yet

I remain,

I stand by your side.

I do not call you to evil.

I call you to acknowledge it,

I let you choose.

You do the rest.
